Fall and Spring Sports
Our successful college admissions over the past twenty-five years
was achieved by helping each student improve academic performance
and gain a sense of personal responsibility. Our instructors and
our educational environment create the opportunity for students
to develop self-esteem and self-discipline through real accomplishment.
We believe that education and self-esteem involve the entire student,
and therefore we emphasize the strengthening of the body as well
as the mind. Academic Excellence and Outdoor Education reflect a
healthy balance for each college-bound student. All students participate
in sports and the Outdoor Education program.

In the fall, many Squaw Valley Academy students choose to participate in competitive coed soccer. Other fall sports offered at the Academy include rock climbing, tennis, mountain biking, golf, fly-fishing, hiking, yoga/stretching, weight training, and recreational volleyball. Other clubs, weekend activities, and sports elective courses may be formed based on student interest and faculty expertise.
The beautiful spring in the Sierra Nevada brings sports such as beach volleyball, tennis, fly-fishing, kayaking, rock climbing, soccer, tennis, golf, and swimming. Other clubs, weekend activities, and sports elective courses may be formed based on student interest and faculty expertise.
