Fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, Squaw Valley Academy meets the California state standards for middle and high school students. Our faculty prepares students for the college of their choice by meeting the standards for the University of California system. Our graduates maintain a 100% college acceptance rate into an average of three universities or colleges. Students may receive dual high school and college credit recognized by the California State University and University of California schools by participating in the Academic Enrichment program at a local community college.

ATHLETICS
Physical Education includes mountain biking, soccer, skiing, snow boarding, field sports, golf, tennis, yoga/stretching, hiking, trail running and weight training. SVA students may take part in the competitive fall co-ed soccer team. Students may participate in two-day school-sponsored weekend outdoor trips, and all students participate in school-sponsored week-long Outdoor Education trips.

To graduate, a student completes 240 credits, including four years of English, four years of social studies, three years of mathematics, three years of science, and three years of foreign language.

* AP means "Advanced Placement" and students may earn college credit with successful completion of each AP course and the national AP examination. AP Courses are only offered with valid student interest and staff qualification. These courses may be offered only every other year.

Study skills are emphasized throughout the curriculum.
