Squaw Valley Academy Promotes a Drug-Free Campus by drug testing nearly all students. We cannot prevent drugs from being in dorms, but we do suspend and expel students who test positive for drug use.
Squaw Valley Academy was one of the first US schools to require random and for-cause drug testing.
No drug use is permitted while a student is enrolled at Squaw Valley Academy, including holidays.
Students participate in at-random drug tests throughout the academic year, including after holiday breaks.
SVA uses a variety of drug tests, including urinalysis, skin cloth wipes, and saliva swabs.
A goal of the school is to provide a safe, structured program with few distractions, thus allowing students to focus on academics and athletics.
